Rose McGowan

"Rose" McGowan (born on the 5th of September 1973) is an American
actress and activist. After making her film debut with an uncredited role in
the comedy Encino Man (1992), McGowan was recognized for her role in the dark
comedy The Doom Generation (1995) with an Independent Spirit Award nomination
for Best Debut Performance. Her breakthrough came in the film horror Scream
(1996) and later featured in the films Going All the Way (1997) Devil in the
Flesh (1998) and Jawbreaker (1999). McGowan was best known for her part in
Charmed, a supernatural drama series on the WB from 2001 to 2006. Quentin
Tarantino directed her double-feature film Grindhouse (2006) which was the film
in which she received the Saturn Award for Best Actress as well as the Scream
Award to Best Scream Queen. She was a part of the action-thriller series Chosen
(2014) and released her debut studio album, Planet 9, in 2018. The album was
followed by a repackaging in 2020. In 2017 Time honored McGowan as one of the
Silence Breakers, the magazine's Person of the Year, for her stance on sexual
assault and harassment particularly with respect to the Harvey Weinstein sexual
abuse cases and the Me Too movement. Brave is her autobiography. Citizen Rose
was her documentary series. Both of these were released in 2018.
