Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is a American TV personality who is a chef, and a ex-teacher at the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts her own Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and is co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her trademark spiky blond tresses and an energised persona on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, provides straightforward and simple cooking techniques that are suitable for the home cook. Chef Burrell was employed in New York at top restaurants and studied the Italian culinary practices and the geography. Additionally, she competed as Iron Chef America on Food Network. As a child in the upstate of New York, Chef Burrell discovered a love for cooking and eating from an early age. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stage for her after she graduated with the Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was where I had my most memorable time in my life. I was unable to learn enough, didn't accomplish enough, and I couldn't put in the effort enough. After graduation, chef Burrell was able to spend a full time in Italy taking classes at Italy's Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners as well as working for La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 a one Michelin-starred restaurant located in Tuscany. Her time spent in Italy helped her to understand and appreciate the Italian philosophy and culture, and has made an impact on her own food and culinary experience. Burrell participates on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens up the lives of struggling children. Additionally, she is an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Celebrity Advocate, where she raises awareness about juvenile diabetics. Burrell travels extensively across the United States in her position as both a mentor and public speaker in which she speaks about her work and passion for cooking. Anne in all her cooking journey, has said that it's a pleasure to be able to share her passion for life with others.
